Our History.
Ever since Post-WWI, when William Wallace Gaston started receiving mineral acres instead of tuition as payment for teaching at small country schools in West Texas, the Oil & Gas business has been in our blood, literally: H.L. “Lee” Gaston III was born in an oil field hospital in South Texas.
Since the inception of H.L. Gaston III Oil Properties in 1980, there have been many ups and downs to say the least. There have been years, such as 1987 and 2009, where about the only capital we had was our word and God’s good graces, but that’s proven to be quite valuable.
Our Christian values, efforts to give everyone a fair shake, determination to honest dealings, hard work, as well as placing a high premium on getting our clients the absolute best product, define our approach to the land business.
